Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of First Light, operated by Dawn Global LLC(“we,” “us”). By using First Light, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create a First Light account. If you're between 16 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the app.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure — anyone with access to it can access your First Light space. Tell us right away at contact@dawnsolutions.net if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Spaces & invites

A “space” connects you with the people you invite. Anyone with your invite link can join your space — only share it with people you actually want in it. You're responsible for who you invite.

4. Your content

You own the capsules, photos, voice notes, statuses, and other content you create in First Light. By posting content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit it solely to provide the service to you and the people in your space — we don't use your private content for advertising or sell it to anyone.

You agree not to use First Light to:

• Upload illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights
• Harass, threaten, or abuse another person
• Impersonate someone else
• Attempt to access another user's space without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the service (e.g. attempting to break the app or its security)

5. The public Jar

The Jar feature lets anyone with your Jar link send you a message without an account. Because these messages come from people who haven't agreed to these Terms directly at the point of submission, we can't fully control or pre-screen their content. You can choose not to share your Jar link publicly, and we reserve the right to remove content or disable a Jar link that violates these Terms if it's reported to us. If you receive harassing or abusive content through your Jar, contact us at contact@dawnsolutions.net.

6. Premium purchase

First Light Premium (“Forever Connected Pass”) is a one-time payment, not a subscription — there's no recurring charge. Purchasing it unlocks Premium features for every member of the space it was purchased in, for as long as that space exists.

Refunds:We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if Premium features haven't been substantially used; contact contact@dawnsolutions.net for more information.” Confirm the specific terms that fit your business before publishing this page, and check refund-right requirements in jurisdictions with mandatory cooling-off periods for digital goods, such as the EU.

7. Third-party services

First Light relies on third-party services (Google, Stripe, Open-Meteo, and others listed in our Privacy Policy) to function. We aren't responsible for outages or issues caused by those services being unavailable.

8. Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we'll send you alerts for pings and capsule unlocks. You can disable these at any time in Settings.

9. Termination

You can stop using First Light and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including abuse of the Jar feature or attempts to compromise the service's security.

10. Disclaimers

First Light is provided “as is.” We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times — particularly around notification delivery, which depends on platform and browser behavior outside our control (see our Privacy Policy and product documentation for known platform limitations).

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dawn Global LLC's total liability for any claim relating to First Light will not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.” Have this reviewed against the consumer-protection rules of the jurisdictions you operate in, since enforceability varies — some regions don't allow liability caps for certain claims.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.” This should reflect where your company is actually incorporated/based.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in-app.
